Blown around the block

I was out first thing for my walk and the wind was so strong that I was nearly blown around the block. I noticed a lot of flotsam and jetsam that had been blown off the trees.  My path was almost blocked by a huge bushy branch that had come down and I bet there has been a lot of damage to trees and fences. Yesterday I filmed the trees being blown about in my garden and tried to post a video on here but couldn't do it so removed the post. If I can find a way to put videos on my blog I will try another time.  I would appreciate some advice from those of you that manage to upload videos. I am obviously doing something wrong.
No plans for today and tea is already cooked as I made a huge pork and veggie curry yesterday. It always tastes so much nicer the next day.
Stay safe everyone.  I might pop back this evening if the project I am working on gets finished today.

    1. It's been really windy for a few days now. Hopefully things will settle down from today.

  2. I tried a quick video once & although it did work, it made feel seasick to watch it, so took it off. We also had pork last night, though it was pickled pork & just veg to go with it. Looking forward to seeing what project you've been working on. Take care, stay safe & hugs.

    1. I really would like to upload a couple of videos to my blog. I often see some lovely things that might be nice to share. I've never had pickled pork?

  3. Hi Cherie, Here's how to upload a video of your own in Blogger:
In your Blogger post, when you are ready to insert the video, click on the icon for "insert a video" (it is just to the right of the "insert image" icon) at the top of the page. A new little window will appear, with three tabs at the top: "upload", "from YouTube", and "My YouTube videos". "Upload" should be the one showing unless you click a different tab (it will have a blue underline under the word "upload"). On the centre of that screen, click on "choose a video to upload". This will take you to your computer's files. Find the video you wish to upload, click on it to highlight it, and click on "open" at the bottom of that screen. That will take you back to your Blogger post, where you will now see a small screen saying "uploading video". Wait . . . then it will say "processing video". Wait ... and when the white triangle appears, your upload will be finished and you can resume typing. Two notes: in my experience it takes longer than I expected to upload a video, so give it time before you give up! Also, you can't try out the video until the post is published. So be sure you choose the correct one. Or just publish the post and hope for the best, or remove it if it didn't work, like you did already. That's it. It's easier to do than it is to describe, so you shouldn't have a problem. If you do have a problem, I'd be happy to help further. Just shoot me an email at newjennyo@gmail.com. Good luck :)

  4. It's been very blowy, hasn't it? It's due to calm down here through the day. I do love watching the wind blowing through the trees and the sounds it makes are very restful.

Second day curries are so much nicer, I agree.
    xx

    1. It was lovely watching the wind blowing again yesterday. I often wonder if a tree will come down into my garden... Blimey it would do some damage.
      The curry was yummy.
