A waiting kind of day

At this very moment I am waiting for the floors to dry before heading upstairs to clean both bathrooms.  I have a big shop being delivered from Tesco later today.... much later today, Some time between nine and ten tonight.  I didn't mind as there is nothing frozen in my order so if it is closer to ten it might need to wait until tomorrow morning.
The poetry theme from Jenny over on Procrastinating Donkey blog is 'Friends'.  I set to and penned a quick poem but didn't think to save it before I posted it there. I am waiting until it's been posted so I can copy it and put it on my poetry page... You don't know I have a poetry page because I have kept it private. I might actually post this one on my blog though as I think it's a thought provoking subject. You might like to pop across and have a look at Jenny's blog. Maybe have a go at writing a poem of your own. Anything creative is a good thing just now.

Oh, and I am sorry I deleted my last post. I read it again and thought it a bit miserable and depressing which is the last thing any of us need just now. In a nutshell it told that the town where I live has one of the highest number of covid deaths outside of London. Seventeen in a local care home. I am choosing not to think too hard  about that though.

  1. I have started to write poetry through the lockdown, I have found the process quite therapeutic. I have then added them to a journal in a shabby chic style journal.

    1. I agree about it being therapeutic. It's something I've done pretty much all my life.

  2. Good for you for getting your floors mopped and the bathrooms cleaned. I need to do my floors, too. Doesn't it feel great to have the grocery shopping done? I just got back from Costco. We are all set.
