Blimey, hasn't the weather taken a turn for the worse! I went for a walk first thing and it was quite cool but it seems to have dropped a few degrees since then. It's a complete contrast to yesterday which turned out to be a lovely, warm and sunny day.
So what have you all been up to this morning? I had a cauliflower and pasta in cheese sauce cooked before 09:00 this morning.. I had my shopping done by 08:15 and I had already been for a short walk by then. When I got home I made Tony some lovely, big, ham salad filled buns for his packed lunch tomorrow. It means that tea is cooked and only needs popping into the oven and the sandwiches are already made and sitting in the fridge. While shopping this morning I bought a bar of chocolate for himself to take in his lunch box just in case he fancies a piece while he is at work. Little treats are nice now and then and it isn't just me that likes a bar of chocolate now and then. I'm finding that the mini supermarket just around the corner from me sells pretty much everything we need. It is a bit on the expensive side so probably not the place to do a full store cupboard shop but very handy for us. We have only been and done a big supermarket shop once during the lockdown and are managing really well
It has been a miserably cold day here, it hasn't stopped raining since midnight so I haven't left the house all day.
ReplyDeleteI agree, we've done most of our shopping at our cornershop and haven't been near a big supermarket for a couple of months.
Enjoy your tea! xxx

It was very cold here. The heating clicked on.
ReplyDeleteThe corner shop sounds great. As you say, more expensive but if they have it in, that's great.
xx
Cooler here too, with the heating clicked on again. We are using our local village shop too, we had done an enormous supermarket shop the week before lockdown to stock up the cupboard.
