Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... Blogging styles
I have found some great new blogs to keep me company this past fortnight. What I dislike though is finding a blog and then only getting a snippet to read before I have to click on it to read the rest of the post... I seldom bother to read it as I much prefer to dive straight in and enjoy a good read. I love crafting/cooking blogs and I thoroughly enjoy reading general chit chat kind of blogs. The first thing I do these days when I get up is make myself a cuppa and settle in to catch up on a few blogs. Lately I have tended to do this in my jimjams before I go and have a shower and get dressed. Sometimes this is as early as 06:00 and other times it's closer to 08:00. I do feel more like getting up when I can see the sun streaming in through the curtains. Today wasn't quite as warm as I had hoped it would be but it was good and windy so perfect for laundry drying. I'd planned to cook a roast chicken dinner but have felt quite nauseous all afternoon so haven't bothered cooking. Tony made himself a mushroom omelette but can look forward to a nice roast tomorrow as I am sure I will be absolutely fine. I've been totally out of sorts for a little while now. That's not like me at all as I seldom ail a thing. Roll on warmer days when the warmth can seep into my tired little chubby body.

I hope it (whatever 'it' is) goes away very soon....it's frustrating and debilitating to feel under the weather for a while. We had a very strong wind today so it wasn't as warm as it might have been. xx
ReplyDeleteI think I have just picked up a grotty bug.. I have no idea where from though as I have hardly set foot over the door.
DeleteI do like reading new blogs but I seem to read the same ones, it's sort of like visiting with friends and catching up on what they've been doing.
ReplyDeleteI've been getting up early too - I'm really not a morning person but I like to take a peaceful walk at a nearby preserve (being doing it for years) to sort of get the day going and it's starting to get really busy there at the time I usually go so I've been going earlier and even then there are a few people there. Sigh.
I feel like I have visited with friends when I read blogs too. It's lovely to see snippets of other peoples lives. Particularly during these times of lock down
DeleteThanks Laurie. x
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling yourself before too long. It may be stress with trying to find a new normal in our lives for the time being. I too get up before DH & do some blog reading. My old laptop wouldn't join the party this morning, so had to find my tablet & check on that. We don't always get along. Look after yourself, stay safe and huggles.
ReplyDeleteHope you start to feel better soon. I don't like the sort of blog where you just get a snippet either. Like you I just want to see the post and read it. I love reading my blogging friend's posts, it too is a part of my daily routine. Please think about making a call to your doctor if you don't feel better soon. XXXXX
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you are feeling better. That makes me nervous with this virus. I feel sick to my stomach after reading the death counts. Knitting socks and doing yoga helps me to calm down. These are challenging times...
ReplyDeleteThat's my first thing in the morning too. Write/finish off my own and get stuck into everyone else's news. If feels even more important to stay in touch at the moment with such an uncertain future.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you feel loads better as the day goes on and that all goes well for you.
xx
Whoops! I thought I popped a comment on, but maybe I forgot to publish it. Hope you're feeling a lot better. I also arise before DH & get some blog reading done. Take care of yourself, stay safe & huggles.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better today, Cherie. It's scary feeling ill when this virus is making the rounds. Hopefully it's a regular bug and will make itself scarce shortly.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy finding a new blog of interest, too. Little snapshots of folks' lives makes us feel like we know each other just as we know the folks in our real lives in our geographically real communities. I usually only do a poetry post each week, but I try to make it personal so readers can get to know about me that way. I'm not good at writing interesting posts about my daily life; it would bore the heck out of people!
Keeping fingers crossed you woill both be OK and get better quickly. XXXXX
