If the thought of standing in a supermarket queue fills you with horror it might be worthwhile ringing up one of the many wholesale fruit and veg suppliers to ask if they will put a fruit and veg box together for you. Let them know your budget and the kind of things that you like and then you can pay over the phone and collect from the doorway of the store.  You don't even need to have any face to face contact.  Let's hear it for the little firms now.  The big supermarkets have had it all their own way for far too long.
