Yesterday on my way home from work I called into the butchers and bought a few different varieties of meat. We had liver and onions with home made oven chips for tea so Tony was a happy bunny. Another thing I bought was a pound of steak mince. Like most of us, I can stretch mince a very long way and while the jug was drying, I set to and made a moussaka and a cottage pie. Each will serve six people so there are plenty of portions for the freezer. I am having a cup of tea and a sit for half hour before I get on with my Leslie Sansone workout.
Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... Upcycled jug
Oh my, I have had such a busy day today. After our early morning walk this morning I had a cuppa with my friend. Marian had a metal jug that she no longer wanted so offered it to me. She told me that it isn't waterproof so will need a jam jar inside if I want to use fresh flowers. When I got home I gave it a lick of undercoat before I decoupaged it with a paper napkin. The metal flower isn't as noticeable as the photo implies but if it really bothers me I will cut a large daisy to cover the raised metal flower and finish it off with a pretty button.

I've got a pretty metal jug I bought as a flower vase, but then found it isn't watertight....what a good idea to put a jam jar inside! Thank you, Cherie's friend, why didn't I think of that?! The upcycled jug looks lovely.
