Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... Thump thump thump
It's the time of year when the birds start emptying the gutters on my house onto my conservatory roof. The first time I heard it I got quite a surprise as I had no idea what was going on. This morning my conservatory is taking a good pebble dashing of moss as birds search through it for bugs. I just wish they would collect all the soggy moss to line their nests with. In fairness to them, I must be grateful that we don't have to pay someone to clean the gutters. It's far easier for Tony to clean the conservatory roof than the guttering. .

Yes, the blackbirds are doing it here too, and starlings are starting to build nests in the gutters again. We really need our gutters clearing out, but trying to get landlord to do it is an uphill struggle. He wanted husband to do it....as he's 69 and has a heart condition, we said no!
ReplyDeleteI wish the birds around my house would empty my gutters. ha! I never heard of such a thing. You have very well trained birds.
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny, and at the same time so helpful!
ReplyDeleteOh wow that's funny! Hope they don't make too much of a mess.
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky to have Tony to do it for you. I have seen lots of birds near my home lately, too. There were several blue jays gathering acorns and chattering near my deck. I guess they eat them...
