Some very sad news

My lovely neighbour Bryan passed away yesterday. I spent a little time with Bryan and Joan on Friday and poor love was very weak and confused. Joan rang last night to say that Bryan had slipped away yesterday afternoon.  I am glad the suffering is over for them both but sad that we have lost a good friend and neighbour. He was a lovely lovely man and will be sadly missed. Tony and I plan to be there for Joan now.  They had been married for over fifty years but had no children and Joan was an only child. She has a good support network of nieces and nephews in Bryans family and they have good friends who she can call on so won't be totally alone.

Rest in peace Bryan.  We are proud to have known you.

  4. My neighbour died recently and very quickly. I still think I can hear her now and then. Death is such a strange thing and something we can never quite get to grips with isn't it?. Lovely that you will be there for her Cherie.

  6. I am grateful that YOU and your husband are such good friends for Joan and will be there for her. My father-in-law in England lost his wife two years ago this weekend and he has the BEST neighbors. It means a LOT. My prayers for your friend and neighbor, Joan. (Which was my also the name of my dear mother-in-law.) xx
