Quilling with household items

I have had a look around you tube for some simple videos for you.  Here are some nice ones that don't need expensive tools. For quilling I either simply roll them up between finger and thumb or I might start them off with a cocktail stick.  Don't buy an expensive quilling comb.  A hair comb works perfectly well. I usually use a small paper shredder to cut strips. It's far easier than cutting each strip individually. There are loads of videos on you tube and we are all going to have plenty of time to browse.

  1. I love the idea of using shredded paper. I have lots of colored paper I've been saving for "some project" and now I have ideas for using it.

  2. Thank you for those links. And for encouraging folks to use items on hand instead of buying expensive equipment. I've thought about quilling but also thought I needed the "right" tools, which didn't make sense to buy if I didn't know if I'd use them more than once!
