Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... It had to be done
Well we finally bit the bullet and bought a new washing machine yesterday. My poor old machine has rattled and banged for weeks now, it has hung on a lot longer than we thought it would. Such a pity that it isn't worth repairing but at least the new one can take a king sized duvet. We pondered long and hard over which one to choose as we really didn't want to spend a huge amount of money. If I am being honest I would say that I am not really sure that an expensive machine would last any longer than the cheaper model that we picked. Nor do I think it would wash any better. Blimey there are so many features on modern washing machines these days. I only want the blimmin thing to wash my clothes. It's being delivered on Thursday and it will be interesting to see how well it compares with my old machine.

I agree fully - just wash my clothes, I don't need a bunch of extras that can break long before the machine wears out! Good luck, I hope you like your new machine. It's always nice to be able to wash the big articles, so that's a plus right there :)
ReplyDeleteI don't seem to find any difference between the cheap and expensive - except maybe more washing cycle choices. I go with the basics lol
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it. I have had the same old Kenmore for thirty years. I just love it. I hope it lasts forever.
