A gardening kind of day

When I opened the curtains this morning I  noticed that the sky looked a little bit lighter.  In a few more weeks it will be light at seven o clock and then my friend I can start to walk a bit earlier. That gets it out of the way and the rest of the day is mine to do as I please. If the weather today is as nice as is forecast then I think I might spend an hour or two in the garden.  I need to trim a little bit off the new hedge in order for it to bush out nicely.  I may even take a few photos as  the hedge does look very pretty. It's a lovely bright variegated green and gold one and has really lightened the look of the border. When I was in the mood for a  little spell of gardening I planted a few foxgloves with the pansies the other day. Someone that Tony works with had given them to him well before Christmas. The poor things would have languished in the pots forever if I leave it to Tony to plant them.  Must dash as I will be heading out for my walk soon. Just time for another cup of tea.

  2. Foxgloves and pansies are two of my favorite flowers. Glad that you are able to walk regularly again.
