It's Wedding Dress day

I can't tell you how thrilled I am this morning. Beckah is picking me up around ten and I am going with her and her mum Christine to look at wedding dresses. I can hardly believe that this day has arrived. My smashing son is in love and making wedding plans. He couldn't have picked a nicer girl and Beckah has made such an effort to be part of our family.  We love her to bits and are so looking forward to the big day. It's quite a long way off yet as they are talking about getting married next year. Today is just a fact finding mission so that they both know how much things are likely to cost. I spent last night looking online at 'mother of the groom' dress ideas on tinternet.  It will be fun talking to Christine and seeing what kind of colour scheme she is thinking of having.  I do realise that I have quite a limited role in the plans and have no intention of being one of those awful pushy people who stick their nose in where it isn't wanted. Nevertheless I am so looking forward to the whole event. I will try not to bore you to death with talk of weddings over the next year.

    What seemed like a short time ago our Grandson in Scotland was saying that it was 2 years until his marriage. He's now been married for a year and I don't know where that time went so don't sit back too much as the wedding will be here before you know it. lol

    Ooooh lovely! Talk as much as you like about the wedding! My son is getting married in May, They live in Australia but they are very good at letting me know about all their plans. The wedding is in Fijii.
    Of course, we are going. Wouldn't miss it for the world!
