Never send a man...

Tony was doing a last few bits of shopping today so I asked him to buy cranberries.. He came back with cranberry sauce.  Now that might be a reasonable mistake if it hadn't been for one thing.  I have never EVER bought cranberry sauce and we had actually dismissed buying any when we were shopping last week.  I have also been making loads of sugared cranberries just lately and had said I would make another batch next time we bought some. Oh well... does cranberry sauce go with roast pork????
Now you are going to be very impressed with me... This morning I have been destashing again.  I am going through all the little boxes and bowls in my craft room. The ones filled with odds and ends and bits and pieces. You know the stuff I mean. All those little snips and scraps of paper that might just come in useful. In my case it also meant chucking out plastic bottles and empty beer cans (I did not drink the beer, they were for crafting with). I have chucked out plastic bowls and glass jars that were full of junk... I did not throw out the junk, I sorted it and have put the stuff that I want to keep into plastic pouches and they will go into a ring binder. It will be much easier to flick through a ring binder than it would be to search through jars and bowls. I love how neat and tidy the craft room is starting to look.  When Christmas is over and I can put all the ornaments and books back on the shelves downstairs I will have a much nicer space to craft in.

  1. My husband does the same kind of thing. He always has some logic behind his choices, but I've learned to write down exactly what I want, the brand, the size, how to choose the best if it's a fresh item, etc. lol

Good idea to sort the little pieces. I need to do that. Otherwise it's so time-consuming to find what is needed. Thank you for the idea :)

  2. LOL I have plenty of examples of manshop. When buying the ingredients for a dinner party for 15 people, I asked for broccoli and he came back with one small head of broccoli and then there was the time I had tinned tomatoes on the list and he brought back tinned pimentos. Too many to list. LOL Gotta love 'em. x
