Kill or cure

I am so fed up of this flippin cold that today I decided I would blast it out with a belting hot curry.  We went to Tesco and bought fresh garlic and ginger. I have a big bag of red hot chillies in my freezer and a cupboard full of spices.  I've made a curry so darned hot that it just might melt the polar ice cap. It tastes absolutely gorgeous too. Not just hot but very very tasty. I used up the last of the Christmas day pork and gravy to add a bit of protein but it is mostly vegetables.
I'm a bit disappointed that I won't be well enough to go to my friend's party tonight but it just wouldn't be fair to infect all her family. I will stay home and see if I can shift this cold once and for all.

  3. I hope your curry stops that cold in it's tracks.
    What a pity you can't go to the party.

    1. I feel a little bit better Sheila. With a bit of luck this curry has started working and I will be over it before I know it.

  4. I hope your remedy does the second, not the first, Cherie :)

    Seriously, I hope you feel better soon. I've heard that the cold making the rounds here (Canada) is apt to take awhile to go away. Maybe it's the same one circulating in your country. Take care, rest, fluids, etc. . . .

    1. Hi Jenny. I have had this cold for about three weeks. I just think that I am getting over it and it comes back with a vengeance. I do feel a little better today so hopefully the curry is seeing it off. I will have another bowl of it for tea today and see if it shifts the flu bug;
