Only trouble is... I got distracted when I found these two pockets from an old woollen coat that I was given. The photo makes them look a bit grubby but it must be the light. They are perfectly black
Well what's a girl to do? I used some more of the diamante ribbon to add some bling. I turned them into blingy bags.... well wouldn't you? The sparkle is gorgeous but it isn't being picked up by the camera
I am planning on finishing the back of each bag with a piece of quilting fabric and using the same fabric to make shoulder length straps.
How very lovely, well done.

Wow, they are lovely, waste not want not. Your comment on midges made me smile they can be a nuisance but thankfully our cottage is near the sea so we always have a bit of wind. The wind keeps them away.
ReplyDeleteReally neat!!
ReplyDeleteLovely bling. I can easily get distracted as well. Start something, then pick something else up, eventually something gets made.
ReplyDeleteYou have great imagination. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThese look just the right size for a mobile phone and some money for a night out . Great use of something that would have been thrown away..
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam. They are a bit bigger than they look. They are a just the right size for my change purse, mobile phone, house keys, tic tacs and a packet of tissues.
DeleteThese are great! You did a lovely job on them. I am amazed that you had saved the pocket in the first place. I wonder if black cord would look good as straps?
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan. I wish I had thought of black cord before I ordered a bag chain from ebay. I think I have used every bit of that coat now. It made many a brooch in school with the kids and quite a few birds.
DeleteBrilliant revamp of the pockets, great idea. Emmax
