Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... I'm tired
A pattern seems to be developing in my sleep habits. If have a good (relatively comfortable) day I have a dreadful night and vice versa. I had a dreadful night last night and feel like a wrung out rag today. I will be having a short walk with my friend Kath… she is keeping me going just lately. Sadly I can't manage anything more than a hobble around the block but at least it gets me out in the fresh air and exercising the hip.... or so I am told. My friend Jayne has been brill too. We are doing a shorter walk too and it is a great chance to let off a bit of steam and have a good old moan. I come back better able to cope with everything. It makes me aware that for some people pain is a reality that they just have to live with. I do know that at some point my hip will be replaced and if all goes to plan I will be pain free. I just wish that it would come sooner rather than later.

Hope you get some sleep tonight x
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a magic wand to magic away your pain.
ReplyDeleteI'll just hope that you get your hip replacement soon.
Hugs-x-
Yes, that's true. I had to stop walking and all exercise. My friend told me not to wait to do the surgery. You will be amazed at the improvement once it's done. (I think) I'm sorry you are in so much pain. Exercise does not heal a diseased hip joint. It makes it worse and causes the inflammation to flare. You might try using weight machines for the upper body at the gym. That worked for me. You are sitting, so it's easier than getting up and down off the floor. It gets the endorphins going, which I know you like.
ReplyDeleteLack of sleep always makes things worse, hopefully you will get a good night tonight.
ReplyDeleteArthritic joint disease is just plain horrid! I have it in both knees, both shoulders, one ankle and my big toes. Also get hip flareups. I was told on Monday I needed a total left knee replacement. I got a shot in it and one in my left shoulder to get me by. I really not able to have the surgery right now because my husband is quite sick and we spend a lot of time going back and forth to the hospital with him and he can no longer drive. I have to say, the shots have helped but not sure if it will be a long term fix. I believe hip surgery is very successful and not as painful as knee surgery so I hope you get yours soon. XXXXX
ReplyDeleteOh Maureen. I feel for you. It's horrible to be in pain.
