Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... Addicted to house plants
My current passion has become 'houseplants'. At least it is something that both Tony and I can enjoy and I am currently drawing up a list of potential plants for a Christmas list. I would love a 'swiss cheese' plant but can't find one anywhere in the shops. There are some rooted cuttings on ebay so I may have to buy one of those. Does anyone know whether bronze fennel is simply an annual or whether it would become a perennial if I kept one as a houseplant? The foliage is so fern like and beautiful. Next year I might try growing some of my usual edibles as houseplants.. just to see how they work. I bet a little tumbling tomato would be a nice addition to the bathroom. It's nice and warm in there and there is plenty of light. I could hang it up in one of my macramé plant hangers... watch this space.

Bronze fennel is a weed it comes up every year and seeds everywhere , it seeds in many different shades so enjoy..lol I once tried tomatoes in the bathroom it seemed quite a logical idea , then i discovered that they attract plagues of whitefly and the horrible sticky trail was everywhere .
ReplyDeleteI think I won't bother putting tommy toes :-) in the bathroom then.
DeleteI love houseplants but there isn't any actually windsills inside here apart from the kitchen so I am limited with space. Would you be interested in selling one of your macramé plant hangers? If not no worries. x
ReplyDeleteI am flattered that you would want to buy one but in truth you can buy them cheaper on ebay than I could make and post it for.
DeleteOk I shall take a look thankyou.
Deleteenjoy :-)
ReplyDeleteI used to have a massive Swiss cheese plant in my first home but must admit that I haven't seen one for many years. Maybe they have gone out of fashion. I did find it ended up being a bit of a dust collector and the leaves needed cleaning from time to time. I think that may have been when I got fed up with it.
ReplyDeleteI love houseplants, but only have a couple at the moment. My mom had Christmas cactus and orchids. They were always in bloom. It added so much life and feminine energy to the house. I love your idea of the tomato plant. Can't wait to see what you do.
