Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... Clean Sheets
There is nothing I like better than the smell of bedding that has been dried out in the sunshine. Today is a lovely day. Warm with a bit of a breeze and the perfect day for drying the laundry outdoors. I have stripped the bed and it is currently swishing around in the washing machine. Yesterday Tony and I had a really lazy day.. In fact I refused to cook tea saying that himself had to do it... so he did. I was treated to a proper dinner with perfectly cooked veg. The potatoes were boiled to perfection and he did a fabulous job of the Yorkshire puds. I made the mistake of sitting most of the day which is a rarity for me as I much prefer to be up and doing stuff. . I have begun knitting a teddy bear but I should have walked about a bit as my leg gave me hell through the night. I hardly slept for the pain and will be glad when it is sorted once and for all. Oddly enough, I am perfectly comfortable if I stand or walk about. Well, perfectly comfortable is probably stretching the truth a bit but I have far less pain if I can walk around. Today is a housework and garden kind of day. With a bit of luck, if I wear myself out I should sleep tonight.

I've got my bedding flapping about on the line right now! Looking forward to seeing your teddy bear progress. Are you going to knit the clothes or make fabric ones? I should imagine that it will be fun to do. I hope you sleep well tonight. x
ReplyDeleteI handn't thought of making fabric ones... That would be fun to do and could use up a little of my fabric stash.
DeleteI daren't put my washing out today due to the very black clouds hanging overhead. They are going to drop something on us sooner rather than later I think.

It is the kind of warm that could easily become rain at the moment. The laundry is nearly dry though so will be coming in pretty soon.
DeleteTony sounds like quite a man. I always hang my washing out on the clothesline, too. It saves energy, and things dry very quickly here, with all of our sun. Am looking forward to seeing the bear. He sounds so cute!
ReplyDeleteIt is blowing a gale out there with a storm heading our way, not a good day for hanging out washing. Like you I love the smell and indeed feel of bedding that has been line dried.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your pain dealt with soon. Sometimes it is hard to know what is best to do, rest or keep going. Looking forward to the bear and the outfits! I have a weakness for tiny clothing :)
