The pain in my hip is excruciating and keeping me awake tonight. I can't seem to get comfortable whichever side I lay. I have an appointment with physio tomorrow but don't think he can do much about the pain. Oh well. I shall browse tinternet until I feel sleepy.
York was ok... I do mean ok. We aren't great ones for shopping and got bored really quickly so went and had a pub lunch before heading home. Managed to get a couple of Christmas presents to put away. York Minster still manages to fill me with awe every time I see it. I love everything about the walled city and can fully understand why so many foreign tourists visit. We will go back a bit closer to Christmas as it is always wonderfully festive at that time of year.
I was born in York, many moons ago so it holds a special place in my heart. Hope you get some relief from pain soon.

ReplyDeleteWhen I have sciatica or shoulder pain I usually get a throw that I keep by the side of the bed for when it gets cold and I put that onto the mattress under the quilt at either bum or shoulder level and sleep on that as I find my hard mattress makes my problems worse but the softness of the quilt seems to help.Hope the Physio helps to give you a better nights sleep as I know what constant pain is like.Went to York many years ago and in those you could pay £1 for a minutes upkeep of the place but it has probably gone up quiet a bit since then.Keep saying to hubby would love to go back for a visit but we are not keen on crowds any more so that is what puts us off going back...Wendyanne
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendyanne. I am thinking of putting a spare duvet onto my bed underneath the sheet. It might radiate a bit more warmth back into my hip. I prefer a very hard mattress but I am not sure that my hip is liking that just lately.
