Aldi bargains
We popped to Aldi for a few bits this afternoon. They have packs of fat quarters for £3.99. I picked one up assuming it would be poly cotton but was pleasantly surprised to see that it was 100% cotton. I chose two packs and Tony has put them away for Christmas. I will have forgotten all about them by then. Figs were four for 29p... I paid 79p for them last week... I bought four packets. I also bought two packets of four avocados. I find that they keep really well in the fridge and I simply lift one or two out at a time a day before I need them. We filled the trolley with lovely fresh salad ingredients.. but spoilt the healthy image by adding some half coated chocolate chunk biscuits... Well we need a treat now and then don't we.

Oh, I don't think it spoils it. It sounds like you got some excellent bargains. I filled my whole shopping cart with produce yesterday for $19.00. It was such a good feeling. I love avocados, too. (especially in salad.)
ReplyDeleteI do miss Aldi and Lidl, we have limited choice here. However, it does make for a great few days away when we go to the mainland for shopping.
