It must have been really quite cold through the night as a couple of my windows have condensation on them. If this cold snap continues then I will bring the avocados indoors as they look so healthy and strong that it would be a shame to lose them.
The roof is going on my pergola today and it will transform it into a lovely potting area. I can't wait till Tony gets up to help me...… oh how I would love to be married to a man who enjoys DIY as much as I do... It is a really straight forward process so it should be finished in a few hours. I have plans to move a few things around out there so it will give me even more space to use as a growing area. We have a huge barbecue that we never use. Tony doesn't want to get rid of it but I can't for the life of me think why... we aren't great aficionados of barbecuing and it is a bit of a white elephant that takes up a huge amount of room. It will move to the patio and give me four feet of extra space in my 'growing room'...I will post a few before and after pics later today.
i can vouch for the fact it was more than chilly at 5am here on the fens , first morning ive had to put on a cardi for my morning cuppa in months . I will start covering my cucumbers and melons tonight i think
