Well today did not go as planned. Tony bless him has worked his little socks off all day but I bet he was wishing he had never started. One of the posts on the pergola had completed rotted off in the 'metpost'. Tony dug all the rotten wood out but of course it meant that the post was now too short.... I had a brainwave... Put another piece of wood in the 'metpost' and splint the two together.. so we did and it has worked a treat. Then we decided to cut back a whole load of ivy that was growing over the fence...… It filled three large green waste bags and two blue rubble sacks... It took two flippin hours to cut it back, chop it up and bag it. Then Alexander sent me a text on my mobile phone.. The vibration caused it to fall off the wall smashing the screen... ho hum I will have to use my old phone now. Then we ran out of screws and fittings so popped along to B and Q... they didn't have any so I have ordered some online.. They won't get here till next week so the job is only three quarters done... BUT... it looks amazing. I am absolutely chuffed to bits with it. Tomorrow I will share a few photos.
