Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... My sweet teapot
On Saturday Tony and I called into the local Asda supermarket. We rarely shop there these days but we came away with this sweet kitty teapot... I am now officially an old lady with a cat shaped china teapot...…. and I am terrified of cats.. It had been reduced in price and only cost £4. I had been looking for a new teapot... have you seen the price of them? The seeds that you can see drying are Hollyhocks.... I have a plan to grow a whole patch of them. You should see them down in Brightlingsea. They are everywhere..... Glorious spires of colour.

Your window display is lovely including the net curtain. I generally don't like net curtains but that one is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI never used to like nets until I discovered the pretty 'cafe' nets... There are so many lovely designs
DeleteAs the owner of 5 cats I love the teapot. I wonder why you are terrified of cats? did you have a bad experience sometime?

I often wonder if I did.. I used to be absolutely phobic about cats. I couldn't even look at one through the window. I am not that bad now
DeleteI love hollyhocks. I have them in front of my pink cottage. They grow taller than the house. I like your new teapot. I found a used one from England at our church thrift shop. It's lovely chins, and will last and last...
ReplyDeleteI think your hollyhocks are what attracted me to your blog... I stayed because I enjoy reading it.
DeleteI love the teapot but then I love cats too :) I think it's perfect for you if you don't like the real thing; the china one won't be too threatening!
ReplyDeleteSo cute and unique! Thanks for sharing it with SYC.
