My wedding ring

Over the years I have put on a little weight and grown fatter fingers  For ages now my wedding ring has felt really tight and was beginning to worry me. Last night I finally managed to ease it over my knuckle and take it off.  I should have had it made larger a couple of years ago but didn't.  This morning we are going to take both the wedding and engagement ring in to be enlarged.  I feel very strange without them and can't wait to put them back on. I'm hoping that the wedding ring will be stretched immediately so that I can wear it today.  The engagement ring will need a piece of gold putting in so will probably take a week or wo.

  1. My skin under my rings started breaking down in my 30's and since then I can't wear rings of any kind (even if my finger was the same size as it was when we were married, which it is not! :)).

    1. Tony has had that trouble recently. We are hoping that it is temporary and a rest from wearing his wedding ring will be all he needs.

  2. My rings won't budge, it is not uncomfortable yet but I am guessing eventually they will need to be cut off. I should have had ore sense.

    1. I had worried that I might need mine cut off. I put my hand in a bowl of ice and then raised it above my head for five minutes. A lot of fairy liquid and a very worrying moment later and they slipped off.

  3. That's great that you are having them resized. They are beautiful rings. It feels good to take care of repairs. I'm sure you will enjoy wearing them for the rest of your life.

    1. They mean such a lot to me. They weren't expensive but I feel lost without them.

  4. The skin under my rings sometimes starts breaking down and I found that it was due to me not drying my hands properly after doing the washing up and not getting rid of the water under my rings. Once I started drying them properly the problem went away.I struggle to remove my rings due to Arthritic knuckles. Your rings are beautiful though....Wendy
