Tony and I have just spent a blissful five days in the Scottish highlands. The weather was lovely, the scenery magnificent and the company was great fun. We popped into Gretna Green both on the way there and on the way back. We visited Oban and Inveraray and had a wonderful tour through spectacular Caledonian scenery. The hotel was at the side of a beautiful loch surrounded by incredible mountains...... But d'ya know what? For me, although it was certainly magnificent, it just wasn't a patch on the Yorkshire dales. They truly take my breath away.
We are both really tired now but tomorrow I will upload a few of the photo's that we took...... Oh! and you should see how big the avocado has grown while we were away.
I want to see Scotland AND the Yorkshire dales! I fell in love with Yorkshire from the James Herriot books, although no one ever seems to talk about them anymore. If they make a movie from his books, he might become wildly popular. Maybe it could happen!
