A nice start to the day

The sun is shining and it looks like being a beautiful day today.  I have been for my early walk and am hoping to get out in the garden as soon as Tony gets up.  He is having the day off as I have an appointment with the surgeon. That man is going to see a huge improvement and with a bit of luck he will sign me off from Physio.

Yesterday I mentioned that my friend gave me a large marrow.  It wasn't my only gift though,  the postie brought me a pretty rainbow coloured lanyard.  John Gray, from the Going gently blog had a little fun competition.  https://disasterfilm.blogspot.com/ and I was a winner... Thanks John,  I shall wear it with pride. x

Just been for a walk.. All that exercise is starting to pay off

Thank you John

Pain au raisin... a girl's gotta have some treats

This will make some lovely soup

  1. Ohhhhh, THAT kind of marrow - I thought you meant a meat bone that you boil for soup! lol

Yes, marrow (or zucchini, as we know it) makes a lovely cream soup as well.

Congratulations on your win in John's competition :)

  2. I love stuffed marrow and never say no to a freebie. This year we've picked our courgettes when they were very small as I've had a passion for roasted Mediterranean veg. Altho' I don't think you can class courgettes as Mediterranean but they've been very nice.

    1. I love to spiralize my courgettes and treat them like pasta or noodles
