Maltesers or celery

In my kitchen cupboard there is a box of maltesers…  They are shouting me....   I am ignoring them.  I know if I have one that I will eat the entire box... over 500 calories worth.. My halo is positively gleaming as I munch my way through a stick of celery.

I got a second pair of boot socks out of the ball of yarn from Aldi.  The cream is from my  stash and I used it to ensure that I would have enough for this pair. I might knit another pair with all my odds and ends of thicker yarn. They only have 36 stitches on and take no time to knit.   I started the first pair yesterday morning and the second pair  last night so I didn't get bored wit knitting them.

Started these yesterday morning

I started this one last night. I might get it finished tonight.

    1. It's one of the 'zigzag' range of yarns. It is such a treat to knit as I never know which colour is coming up next

  2. I wish I had your self-control. Ever since Christmas I seem to be eating an awful lot of sweets. I have to put my foot down (on myself) soon!

    I love the blue/red/green socks!

    1. If they had been crisps I would not have been able to resist. My downfall is the salty savoury snacks.

  3. Beautiful socks. Like Jenny I seem to have developed a habit of eating more sweets since Christmas and need to be firmer with myself. I did get a lot of sweet gifts that I don't want to waste is my excuse.

    1. We usually put any extra away until Easter but this year Tony opened another tin of sweets after Christmas... We had to eat them of course. Now that he is seriously aiming to lose some weight it is so much easier for me.

  4. Maltesers leave me cold, I have a very selective sweet tooth. The SO likes anything so I only buy things that I dislike. He would empty that box in one sitting, and possibly lick the inside.

    1. Crisps are my demon... I won't buy a family pack as I could sit and polish off the whole lot in one sitting.

    1. It was one of the multi coloured yarn cakes. In truth it isn't ideal for knitting socks as it only has 20% wool. You would really want at least 50%. These won't get worn a lot as I have a few pairs to swap them with but I am prepared to darn them if they do need it at some point

  6. Great work on your socks. You are so fast! I'm knitting a pair right now, too. They are so relaxing and repetitive.
