| Aren't they pretty |
Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... The finished socks
Here are my latest socks. They are lovely and snuggly. Perfect for the winter. All my sock yarn is four ply so I might buy some double knitting sock yarn … I will use up the sock yarn I have before buying any more yarn :-) I have enough for at least ten more pairs of socks.. In fact I plan to try and knit at least one pair each month this coming year. If you have never knitted socks before I can highly recommend this book...

They really are lovely! You got yourself a nice new and productive hobby!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan. It is great way to use up some of my stash now that I am back in the mood to knit socks. Hope you had a lovely Christmas.
DeleteThey look great! I know what you mean about the sock yarn...
ReplyDeleteThose naughty socks yarns are addictive. I love the multi coloured striping ones.
DeleteThey look great! I like the self-patterning yarn. It's like a party trick or magic or something :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny. The yarn is King Cole zigzag. Not sure which colour that pair is but you should see the 'heather' that I am currently knitting
DeleteGorgeous socks. Emmax
ReplyDeleteI bought this colour in the Zig Zag wool when it was "new" out. Spotted it in the window of a wool shop in Llandudno. I always buy some sock wool when I'm away. My socks look exactly like yours. I can get a pair of fingerless gloves out of the wool too. Matching hands and feet, haha.
ReplyDeleteThat's a brilliant idea. I have plenty of the yarn left too and am planning on buying a pair of cheap black gloves. I want to knit extra long cuffs to stitch to them. I will double over the cuff to make them lovely and warm on my wrist
