Whist, wine and a couple of bargains

It was lovely to see all the whist group today. One of the ladies brought a three litre box of white wine that she had found in her cupboard…It was left over from her recent birthday party.  She gave it to me so I offered to host a 'wine and games afternoon/evening' for some of my friends. Next time Tony goes to the footie we will get together for an afternoon or evening of cards, dominos and wine.. I am sure we can make a decent dent in the wine.
I currently have in my hand the most delicious can of fruit cider. Alcohol has not passed my lips all week and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I ignored the cake and gorgeous biscuits this afternoon. So I think I can add a few extra calories this evening.  Tea was a thoroughly yummy stir fry with tons of veg, bacon and noodles.  The bacon cost me 50p this morning on the 'reduced' section at our little mini market. I also bought bread which had been reduced to 50p. I had only called in for milk but was pleased to snap up a few bargains. It will be lovely for toast or toasted sandwiches this weekend.
