Along the lanes I'd love to wend, near Artist's Mews, on Writer's Bend. Where fragrant flowers of every hue sparkle in the morning dew. I wish I lived in Carver's Valley, Quilter's Creek or Cross Stitch Alley. Just think of all the things I'd make, if I lived by Crafters Lake.......... My diet... :-)
I have decided that I will lose a stone by Christmas... So last night I had a huge chicken and pasta salad... followed by a large portion of apple spice cake with ice cream... Followed by two very large glasses of white wine with lemonade. What do you reckon to my chances... :-) In fairness I had made the sponge the day before and it was meant to go with some custard... But I made the apple roses instead so the sponge pudding would have gone to waste.. I will not waste food. The wine was left over from Friday when we had friends over. It is all gone and I won't buy any more so that I can't be tempted. We don't buy biscuits and I have stopped buying crisps so now the serious work begins. Fingers crossed for a new sylph like me. It means losing about one pound each week and I reckon it is do able. Unfortunately my doctor has advised against long walks so I need to be a bit careful. Hopefully, tomorrow the physio will give me some exercises to alleviate the pain in my hip and then I can get back to walking my usual seven miles. Luckily I love salad and could eat it at every meal quite happily. I will let you know how I get on.

Good luck with the weight loss! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Simone. Now that I have gotten rid of all the naughty goodies I will make a proper start.
DeleteGood luck, Cherie. It sounds like you have a good plan set out. I hope you get your hip pain sorted quickly!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenny. I am absolutely determined to lose a stone.
DeleteOh, but everything you cook and bake sounds so delicious! Sorry to hear your hip is bothering you. That's a lot of walking. Were you doing seven miles every day? I hiked that far yesterday, (with very steep hills,) and am SO sore today, I will just do gentle yoga. That's also helpful for a sylph like figure...
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie. I will look into yoga and see if there is a local class
