This afternoon I stitched this cuddly red fleece heart. It's slightly larger than the palm of my hand and I have filled it up with lavender. It is currently tucked down my bra... The heat from my body is releasing the lavender fragrance and I am trying to focus on that rather than the pain in my hip.. I think it is working to some degree... I tucked the little lavender filled bear under my pillow last night and had the best sleep in ages... I must have managed at least three solid hours..... Of course it might be that the strong pain killers I took worked for a while but I have no intention of making it a habit to take painkillers at bedtime. Hopefully I can see the doctor this week and discuss the next step now that arthritis has been diagnosed.
That is beautiful. Sorry to hear about your sore hip-My back’s had a turn to itself and I can’t take painkillers. Have been doing my stretching exercises to help.
ReplyDeleteThanks Catriona. I am trying hard to do the exercises that the physio showed me. It is difficult though when everything hurts isn't it.
DeleteI am sorry to hear about your hip pain. Have you tried an Epsom salt bath or an arnica bath to help relieve the pain? My aunt has rheumatoid arthritis and regular has baths with arnica soak in them. She gets it from QVC. Hope you get a good nights sleep. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Simone. I have tons of Epsom salts and plan to have a regular bath in it. Currently trying glucosamine and turmeric... something must ease the flippin pain.
DeleteI hope you can get the arthritis pain under control, Cherie. A bad night's sleep affects everything the next day, it seems.
ReplyDeleteI have always suffered from insomnia but at least I wasn't in pain before. This getting old lark is no fun
DeleteI'll be interested to see what your Dr says. I know the pain from a hip, mine makes me shout sometimes. lol

I will let you know what he says after I have been tomorrow. The pain is making me miserable and lethargic
DeleteThat's so pretty. I'm sorry you are in pain. It takes me back in time when I read your posts. I remember dreading going to sleep because of it. I'm so glad you are seeing the doctor. If you are interested, Bonesmart has some excellent threads. Bone on bone pain is the worst.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie. I had a look at Bonesmart and think it will be a very useful forum for me in the coming months
DeleteLovely little heart, hope it helps. I hope you can find something to help with the pain. Hugs Emmax
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma. Hopefully the doctor can sort it all out when I see him tomorrow
