My sweet hubby

I had a lovely walk yesterday but didn't bother going to the craft group after lunch as it was the perfect afternoon for sowing the grass seed. I also cut down a huge amount of the holly and jasmine from the bottom of the garden. The jasmine is becoming a bit of a thug and needed a hard trim. Then I set to and cut the lawn for the first time this year.  I was a bit reluctant to cut it as the snowdrops need a lot more time to build up strength for next year.  It was looking so untidy that I just couldn't stand it any longer. The difference the trim has  made to the garden is really amazing though.

Tony's colleague has sent me some more eggs...

I sent him a load of seed trays last week and this was his way of saying thank you..... I rather like the barter system of trading..... I sorted a load of plant pots for him yesterday. It has freed up a shelf in my mini greenhouse.  I have a load of rhubarb spare so Tony can take it to work.  One of his colleagues loves the stuff..... I don't cook much of it but hate to waste it.

And look what Tony bought for me as a surprise yesterday.......the sweetie... :-)

  1. Enjoy the eggs......and the flowers :-)

  2. Super eggs. I love bartering too. I adore rhubarb but can't get it here in Greece (not even in tins) booooo :-( Such pretty flowers - how lovely.

  3. You've been busy! The flowers seem to be a regular thing in your house - you must really enjoy them! Do you cut your own flowers in season?

    1. I don't cut my own flowers as they last so much longer in the garden. For many years Tony sent me flowers every month but then the florist closed so he stopped. I have no idea why he has suddenly resumed buying them but they are lovely to receive.
